For best results, hair should be about the length of a grain of rice — roughly 2–3 weeks of growth. If the hair is too short, the wax may not be able to grip it properly. If it’s a little longer, that’s totally okay — I can work with that. If you’ve been shaving, I recommend waiting at least 2 weeks before booking to allow enough growth for a clean, effective wax.

Everyone’s pain tolerance is different, but most clients are surprised by how quick and manageable it is - especially with a consistent routine. The first appointment is usually the most uncomfortable since the hair is being removed from the root for the first time, but it gets easier over time as the hair grows back finer and more evenly. I focus on speed, technique, and keeping you as comfortable as possible throughout the service. Many clients say it’s more of a quick, temporary discomfort rather than actual pain - and the smooth results are worth it.

For best results, I recommend coming in every 4–6 weeks. This keeps your hair on a consistent growth cycle, which means smoother results, less discomfort, and fewer ingrowns over time. If you’re just starting out or switching from shaving, it may take a couple of appointments to get everything fully on the same cycle — but it gets easier and more consistent each time.

• Avoid direct sun exposure for at least 24 hours before your wax, as freshly tanned skin can be more sensitive. • Avoid using retinols, Accutane, or any strong exfoliants on the area being waxed. These can make the skin more fragile and increase the risk of irritation. • On the day of your appointment, skip lotions, oils, or heavy creams on the area, as they can create a barrier and affect how well the wax adheres. • Limit caffeine and alcohol right before your appointment, as it can make the skin a bit more sensitive.

• Avoid heat and friction - this includes hot showers, saunas, workouts, sex, and anything else that may cause sweating or irritation. • Stay out of the sun and avoid tanning during this time, as your skin is more prone to sensitivity. • Skip lotions, oils, or heavily fragranced products on the area right after your wax, and hold off on exfoliating for at least 24–48 hours. • If you were waxed in an area that experiences more friction (like a Brazilian), opt for loose clothing and avoid anything tight or restrictive. • Keeping the area clean, cool, and dry will help prevent irritation and support smooth, healthy skin. • After 24 hours, I recommend starting a consistent routine with a gentle exfoliant and ingrown oil to keep your results smooth and prevent ingrowns.

They can happen, but a proper routine makes a huge difference. Kassidy has tried and tested tons of products to find the best one for her clients and has them available at the salon. Exfoliate using a scrub or exfoliating mitt 2-3 times per week and use an ingrown hair oil daily to keep the skin hydrated and clear.

Yes! You can still be waxed during your period. I just ask that you wear a tampon or menstrual cup to keep things clean and comfortable during your service. Keep in mind your skin can be a bit more sensitive around this time, so you may feel slightly more discomfort than usual.
